3/29/2024 0 Comments 4ext recovery compatible phoneI originally used the rev.io software to S-OFF to install the offical HTC release of ICS (using a recovery flashable copy from XDA) back when Telstra were dragging their feet with testing. There is another method that is documented on XDA forum but it is really for the desperate and involves running a utility app while shorting contacts with a paperclip in a very precise timing sequence (no I am not joking). The Revolutionary S-OFF method only works if you still have the older Gingerbread HBOOT firmware, and once you do the (official) ICS update the firmware will updated to a newer (locked) version and you will not be able to do anything but the HTCDev unlock. Just FYI, if you are planning to S-OFF your sensation (fully S-OFF using , not just HTCDev unlock which is quite limited) then I suggest you do so BEFORE you get updated to ICS.
